Building Champions On and Off the Mat
Gold Beach Youth Wrestling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to introducing the youth of our community (ages 5 to 16) to the incredible sport of wrestling. Our primary mission is to create a positive, safe, and empowering environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and challenge themselves.
We believe wrestling teaches more than just athletic skill. It forges character. Through dedicated coaching and a focus on sportsmanship, we aim to instill the core values of discipline, confidence, and respect in every child who steps on our mats. Our goal is simple: to get as many kids involved as possible and show them the lifelong benefits this sport has to offer.
CONFIDENCE
Athletes develop self-belief by overcoming challenges, mastering new techniques, and competing. This confidence extends from the mat into their daily lives.
DISCIPLINE
Wrestling requires commitment, focus, and hard work. Our wrestlers learn the value of setting goals and the dedication it takes to achieve them.
RESPECT
Respect for coaches, teammates, opponents, and the sport itself is fundamental. We foster an environment of sportsmanship and mutual support.

Our History & Coaching Legacy
The tradition of wrestling in Gold Beach runs deep, and our club is proud to carry that torch. Our head coach, Travis Moore, is a product of that rich history. Travis grew up wrestling right here in our community with the Gold Beach Mat Club, where he learned the values of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. He is joined by Coach Juan Villa and Coach Mackenzie Burdett, whose dedication and expertise have been invaluable to our program. Together, this coaching team brings passion, experience, and a deep commitment to developing not just skilled wrestlers, but confident, disciplined young people. They are devoted to giving back and ensuring that the legacy of excellence and community continues for the next generation of Gold Beach wrestlers. We are incredibly proud to have a coaching team that not only understands the sport, but also the heart of our town.
